Preventis develops and distributes rapid diagnostic tests for a wide range of medical fields, from gastroenterology and preventive care to cardiovascular health. Our portfolio ranges from established qualitative rapid tests to smartphone-based quantitative solutions for use at home and at the point of care. By making diagnostic testing easier to access and use, we help people and healthcare professionals obtain meaningful results sooner and make informed decisions. Our aim is to simplify preventive care, reduce the burden on clinics and medical practices, and improve access to testing and monitoring for people with chronic conditions and in underserved regions. Over 20 Years of Experience
From Laboratory Diagnostics to Digital Patient Care
Preventis was founded in 2003 as an innovative spin-off of Immundiagnostik AG, a company that has been developing test kits for laboratory diagnostics since the 1980s. These scientific roots continue to shape our work today.From the beginning, our focus has been on point-of-care diagnostics, particularly in gastroenterology. We started by developing rapid tests for situations where timely diagnostic results can support important clinical decisions. Over time, our ambition grew: we wanted to take rapid testing further by combining the accessibility of point-of-care diagnostics with the precision and reliability expected from laboratory testing. A major milestone came in 2015 with the launch of our first smartphone-assisted rapid test for the quantitative measurement of calprotectin in stool. Within just 15 minutes, patients with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis could measure this important inflammation marker from home, and because results are captured digitally, they can also be shared instantly with the treating clinic. The introduction of our digital health technology marked a turning point in our understanding of diagnostics. Since then, our mission has been clear: to make quantitative rapid testing available for more and more biomarkers — and to bring reliable diagnostic information closer and quicker to patients and healthcare professionals. Today, our qualitative and quantitative solutions are available in more than 30 countries and are used in pharmacies, clinics, medical practices, and at home. For us, patient-centered diagnostics is a field full of potential — and we are committed to helping unlock it.

Quantifying Rapid Test Results
With SmarTest®, the smartphone camera functions as an optical test reader. The app analyses the colour intensity of the test strip and converts it into a numerical result—going beyond a visual positive-or-negative assessment and enabling quantitative testing at home and at the point of care.
